Dr. Alexander Harris, President of Slocum-Dickson, Among the First Six Surgeons in New York State to Implant Envista Envy Trifocal Lens
New Hartford, NY: Alexander Harris, M.D., President of Slocum Dickson Medical Group and Director of The Eye Care Center at SDMG, was chosen to be the first cataract surgeon in Oneida County to implant the new Bausch + Lomb enVista® Envy Trifocal intraocular lens. Bausch + Lomb, a leading global eye health company, announced they received approval October 10, 2024, from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the enVista® Envy Trifocal, the company’s first hydrophobic acrylic trifocal intraocular lens (IOL) with an ActivSync optic. Dr. Alexander Harris implanted the enVista® Envy Trifocal IOL on October 21, 2024.
The enVista® Envy Trifocal IOL provides a wide range in vision with excellent performance in all lighting situations combined with superb rotation stability for cataract patients also needing astigmatism correction. “enVista’s new technology comes with proven clinical results,” explained Dr. Alexander Harris. “I’m honored to be the first cataract surgeon in the Oneida County to implant the enVista® Envy Trifocal IOL and excited to offer it to my cataract patients.”
